Artist Statement
As an artist rooted in the dynamic interplay of Surrealism, Impressionism, and the rich tapestry of Japanese art, my work is a testament to the profound connections between art, nature, literature, and music. Based in the vibrant community of Fort Wayne, IN, I am Tara M, and my paintings serve as a bridge between the tangible and the ethereal, inviting viewers on a journey of introspection and transformation.
My artistic practice is an exploration of the flowing and dynamic movement that define both the natural world and the human experience. Utilizing ink, oil and acrylic mediums, I strive to capture the elusive dance of light and shadow, creating compositions that resonate with spiritual and emotional depth. Each brushstroke is a deliberate act of healing, a means of forging a connection with the fundamental truths that lie at the heart of our existence.
Through my work, I aim to evoke a sense of living one's truth, an invitation to embrace the full spectrum of our emotions and experiences. The interplay of vibrant colors and fluid forms mirrors the complex symphony of life, encouraging viewers to engage with the art on a personal level, fostering a space for reflection and self-discovery.
In essence, my art is not merely a visual endeavor but a spiritual dialogue, a conduit for expressing the ineffable and uniting us in our shared humanity. It is my hope that through these creations, I can contribute to a collective understanding and appreciation of the beauty that surrounds and resides within us.
